A Spring Colorado Engagement Session with Colten and Avery

A Spring Colorado Engagement Session with Colten and Avery

A Spring Colorado engagement session always feels like magic. There is a softness to the light, a freshness in the air, and just enough unpredictability to keep things interesting!

Colten and Avery’s engagement session took place in the mountains, surrounded by that early spring transition. We spent the session exploring and letting moments happen naturally. That is always the goal, capturing connection in a way that feels genuine rather than overly posed. Colten and Avery made that easy. They have a calm and effortless dynamic that translates so well on camera. Whether they were laughing together or simply taking in the views, there was a connection between them that did not need much direction, which I loved!!

One of the things I love most about spring sessions in the mountains is how versatile they are. You can hold onto the last bits of winter while also leaning into the warmth of what is ahead. With these two, we experienced both. The cool air kept things feeling cozy, and the longer daylight gave us time to settle into the session without feeling rushed.

Sessions like this remind me why I love this season of life and why I love what I do. It is not just about the scenery, even though the Colorado mountains always show off. It is about documenting people in a way that feels true to them, in a place that adds to their story.

Colten and Avery’s engagement session felt like a perfect reflection of spring. It felt grounded, in between seasons, and full of anticipation for what is ahead.

my story continues here

For me, photography isn’t just my job. It is my passion and purpose. I’m drawn to the beauty of genuine connection, the way your head rests gently on your spouse’s shoulder, how you throw your head back and laugh as your best friend gives their speech, and the way your parents cry during your vows.

The little things. The tiny details. The things you never, ever want to forget, captured in honest, true-to-life colors that don’t just document the way things look, but the way they feel.

Chapter 03.

From slow dancing at sunset to laughing so hard your makeup starts to run, my goal is to document your wedding day in a way that feels like you.
