There are some wedding days that just feel like they were meant for film and Mark and Savannah’s was exactly that. Every frame had that soft, timeless glow that film gives so effortlessly! The way the light hit Savannah’s veil, the blur of movement during their portraits, the quiet in-between moments that felt straight out of a memory, it’s the kind of beauty that only film can capture.
I brought my film camera along for their day (because let’s be honest, I always do), and every time I get those scans back, I’m reminded why I love this medium so much!! Film slows everything down, not just for me as the photographer, but for the couple too. There’s something magical about knowing we only have 36 shots on a roll, so every frame has to matter. It makes me look closer, see differently, and capture moments with more intention!

The Nostalgia
When people think of wedding photography, they often think about all the digital images they’ll receive and yes, that’s important! But film brings a whole other layer of nostalgia and artistry. It has texture, warmth, and imperfections that make it real. You can almost feel the day when you look at a film photo.
With Mark and Savannah, those imperfections told their story perfectly. The slightly blurred shot of them with their bridal party and the grain that caught the golden light just right. It’s all part of what makes film so emotional. It’s not just about what it looks like, it’s about what it feels like.

Film Add On
If you’ve ever thought about adding film to your wedding coverage, consider this your sign. It doesn’t replace your digital photos, it enhances them. Think of it as adding a touch of nostalgia and artistry to your gallery. Those dreamy, romantic, timeless images that feel like they were pulled from an old family album? That’s what film gives you!!
I could go on forever about why I love it, but instead I’ll let these photos do most of the talking. Every one of these images was shot on film, and every one takes me right back to that day, the laughter, the joy, and the way everything just felt effortlessly them.
So here’s to Mark and Savannah, to love stories that deserve to be remembered beautifully, and to the magic of film because some moments just belong on it.
