Jenna and Aiden’s Lyons Colorado wedding day was one of those sweet, simple, meaningful days that remind me exactly why I love photographing couples in love. They got married off Peaceful Valley Road in Lyons, Colorado just outside the quiet mountain town, surrounded by trees and the kind of views that make you stop and take it all in. June in the Colorado mountains is something special. The air is fresh, the sun is warm (but not too hot), and everything feels a little more alive!
The Beginning Of The Day
From the beginning, their day felt peaceful and full of intention. Nothing about it was rushed or overly done. It was focused on their faith, their people, and each other.
Jenna got ready in a cozy cabin nearby with her girls, and she looked absolutely stunning in her classic gown. It had clean lines and such an elegant shape, and her long veil added the perfect touch! Aiden looked sharp in his tux and had the biggest smile on his face all day.
Jenna did a first look before the ceremony with her brother and dad. It was such a sweet moment, just them in the trees, soaking in the excitement. Honestly, those first look photos ended up being some of my favorites from the whole day.
The Ceremony
The ceremony itself was beautiful. It took place outdoors under a huge wooden cross with white fabric draped over it. Behind them? The most insane mountain view. It was simple, heartfelt, and full of emotion. You could feel how important this moment was to them.
After the ceremony, we wandered around for portraits. Nothing but mountain views, forest light, a little breeze catching her veil just right. I could’ve kept shooting forever with how good everything looked and how relaxed they were.
The rest of the evening was full of laughter, hugs, and some seriously great speeches. Everyone there clearly loved Jenna and Aiden so much, and it was easy to see how strong their community is. No over-the-top production just good people, good vibes, and a whole lot of love.
Jenna and Aiden, thank you for letting me be a part of such a special day. It was an honor to capture it all and tell a little piece of your story. If I could photograph weddings like yours every weekend, I’d never stop smiling!
